Cooler Master has today introduced a brand new product to their ever expanding range, the CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset. This is a completely new area for Cooler Master but as you would expect a lot of thought and experience has gone into the design. The Sirus 5.1 Headset features true 5.1 surround sound through 8 discrete speaker channel pairs of front, rear, centre and sub. This helps provide a full 360 degree surround sound which can be adjusted in real time using the included "tactical mixing console". The microphone is uni-directional and features background noise cancellation for crystal clear conversations.
Other interesting features include Tactical Software Console for further fine tuning of the headset, interchangeable ear-cups for breathable audio and noise cancellation.
This product has won the prestigious reddot design award for 2011 in the Computing category showing that Cooler Master is really taking the design of this brand new product in a market they’ve never before entered very seriously. More info here: reddot Sirus Headset Page
This gaming headset is part of their CM Storm range of products which already includes three cases, four mice and a notebook cooling product! We can most likely expect a larger range of sound related products from Cooler Master to help flesh out this range in the future.
Cooler Master expects the CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset to be available in mid-August 2011 with a MSRP just of £85!
