Buffalo Announces Two New External USB Storage Drives Page: 1

Storage device manufacturer Buffalo Technology today upgraded its product line with the addition of two new external storage solutions – the MiniStation Stealth and DriveStation Axis LED. According to the manufacturer, both storage solutions feature trend-setting and industry leading features.

The first of the two drives – the MiniStation Stealth is a USB powered hard drive that is highly compact and easily portable. It does away the need to carry extra power cables and makes data carrying and storage truly portable. The MiniStation Stealth is available in three capacities of 320 GB, 500 GB, and 640 GB respectively.

The second unit – DriveStation Axis LED is also an external hard drive that features an LED capacity meter display that lets users know the total available capacity of their drives at a glance. It comes in a sleek and unique chassis that allows it to be placed horizontally or vertically. This makes it easy to use the drive even in restricted spaces. The DriveStation Axis LED will be made available in 1 TB and 2 TB capacities.

Both drives come bundled with Buffalo’s multi-purpose Buffalo Tools utility suite, including TurboPC – the special PC performance boosting software. The drives are backed by a limited one-year warranty with toll-free 24x7 technical support.

In terms of availability, the MiniStation Stealth will be hitting market shelves sometime in November, while the DriveStation Axis LED will only become available in January 2011. Pricing for the MiniStation Stealth has been set at $74.99, $89.99, and $104.99 for the 320 GB, 500 GB, and 640 GB models respectively. The DriveStation Axis LED on the other hand will carry price tags of $99.99 for the 1 TB model and $159.99 for the 2 TB one.
