AMD Raises the Bar on Desktop and Notebook A-Series APUs

AMD have just updated its A-Series line-up of desktop and notebook Accelerated Processing Units (APUs), thus improving its top-performing family of dual- and quad-core APUs

Some of the new points that AMD have addressed with their products are the addition of: 

1. Speed and performance improvements, an update to AMD Steady Video makes this unique feature more compelling than ever.

2. Extension of overclocking pedigree to the APU line; now users can tweak and tune both x86 and graphics settings in a single processor for that extra boost in performance.

The new updated AMD A-Series APUs now combine up to four x86 CPU cores with up to 400 Radeon™ cores, whcih can delivering a powerful  DirectX^®11- capable, discrete graphics and dedicated HD video processor in one single chip.

Combine this with a selected AMD Radeon™ HD 6500 Series graphics card and you could get a performance boost of anything up to a 144 percent, which is only available from an AMD APU.
