New wireless adaptor
Following the official ratification of the 802.11n WiFi standard, images of a new wireless network adaptor for Microsoft's Xbox 360 have been spotted. The dual antennas should hopefully provide more bandwidth to guarantee the connection is stable to prolonged gaming sessions.
Rival consoles, the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii also support 802.11b/g out of the box, unlike the 360, which requires an external device, but the benefit of having this external device is easy upgradability, which will be interesting to see how Sony and Nintendo tackle the issue, if at all. It is still in the early stages, so no official word on availability or pricing, but hopefully it is less than the current £59.99 for the 802.11b/g device.
