Toshiba to Ship NB200 Netbook with Nine Hour Battery
Toshiba unveiled its Dynabook UX netbook couple of days back and today announced that it will be introducing a new Mini NB200 netbook in the UK under the NB200 name. Expected to become available from 28th April, the classy, high-end netbook is very much similar to the Dynabook UX.The new netbook shares all the features of the Dynabook including an Atom N270/N280 chip, a 945GSE motherboard, a 10.1in LED-backlit screen and a 160GB mechanical hard drive. Toshiba claims that the Mini NB200 will run for an enviable nine hours on the larger six-cell battery, while the standard three-cell one will give it a three hours thirty minutes back-up time.
Weighing in at just 1.1kg, the Mini NB200 is likely to retail at £320, a much better figure than the original $600 price-tag put by Toshiba on the Dynabook UX.
