Shuttle Unveils X270V Nettop PC with Atom
Shuttle has moved away from its tried-and-tested system to unveil something new in its X270V nettop. The company is generally known for its “XPC” barebones enclosure. The new Mini-PC X270V features a dual-core Intel Atom 330 CPU clocked at 1.6GHz. It can accommodate up to 2GB of DDR2 memory and comes with integrated Gigabit Ethernet, 6-channel audio, PS/2-connectors and a serial interface. It is also equipped with 6x USB, VGA and DVI-out ports.
On the outside, the X270V has a sleek, highly-polished black case that gives it a classy look. According to Shuttle, its new nettop is also highly energy efficient. The basic version of the X270V is priced at €299 and is currently only available in Europe, with the company offering buyers the choice of selecting their own hard drive and peripherals for additional cost.
