MSI have extended their gaming laptop range with two new G-series laptops. Using MSI's brand new ECO Engine, the GX623 and GX633 can run in 5 different modes to extend the battery running time while performing different tasks. These modes (Gaming mode, Movie mode, Presentation mode, Office mode, and Turbo Battery mode) can be selected by touching the ECO quick launch touch sensor repeatedly until the correct mode has been chosen, or can be turned off entirely by pressing the "ECO off" button.
The GX623 features the latest Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology, which uses an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and Intel PM45 Express Chipset and features dedicated graphics in the form of ATI's Radeon HD4670 3D graphic card. The GX633 makes use of an AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor, nVIDIA MCP77 chipset and an nVIDIA Geforce GT 130M 3D graphic card.
Additional features found on both laptops are HD Audio speakers, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, optional Bluetooth, wireless 802.11 b/g/n, HDMI port, 4-in-one card reader, 2 MP webcam and three USB's, one of which doubles as an E-sata port. Both laptops support up to 4GB memory, up to 500GB storage and come with the choice of a DVD-RW or Blu-ray drive.
The release date is unknown, but both laptops should be coming sooner rather than later.
