Lenovo Launch Eee PC Rival
Lenovo is looking to reply to the success of the Asus Eee PC with a range of new low cost laptops. With two models, the IdeaPad S9 & S10, they will be marketed towards the consumer and small business user. Equipped with the Intel Atom processor and choice of 160GB traditional or a 4GB solid state hard drive, the S9 carries an 8.9 inch screen and 512 MB of RAM while the S10 has a 10.2 inch screen and features 1GB of RAM.
Both cards will have Wi-Fi as standard and optional Bluetooth connectivity. They will also have an Express Card slot to allow for high speed mobile broadband. An integrated webcam will also feature. Although the IdeaPad lacks some of the features found on the Eee PC, Lenovo are aiming to compete on the cost factor.
