"Gecko" Mini Laptop to Retail for Under $300

There is an increasing effort for manufacturers and retailers alike to make computers available and affordable for everybody. The latest development comes in the form of a mini laptop, known as the "Gecko", which is planned to retail for under $300.

The laptop, manuacturered by a company based in Thailand called NorhTec, is rumoured to feature a seven inch screen (or possible smaller), an almost standard sized keyboard, a touchpad, and will be powered by a 1GHz Via C7M ULV chip. It will run Linpus Linux Lite (which is specially designed for small screen devices), and have integrated graphics.

Although its features are hardly breaktaking, the Gecko represents yet another breakthrough in the shrinking of computer components, and the reductions in price that continue every day.

Very little else is known about this mini laptop, but an announcement by NorhTec is expected in the near future.

Congrats to Hamilton for an excellent race :worship: Master Webber went out early which was a bummer especially on home turf, but the race was a great watch :)
