With AMD's announcement of the DirectX11 capable HD 5000 mobile series of GPUs earlier this month, it was only a matter of time before we began to see laptops utilizing them popping up. Always striving to be on top, PC manufacturer MESH Computers has stepped up to be the first with their EDGE DX laptop.
Starting at a price of £899, the EDGE DX packs a fair bit of power, featuring an Intel Core i7 720 QM processor and 4GB DDR3 RAM. The DX11 experience is provided by theATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 GPU powering a 15.6" 1080p display. The system comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium.
Tony Riccardi, Sales and Marketing Director for MESH Computers said, “MESH has won more awards than anyone else for one very simple reason. We innovate faster than anyone else in the market. With the launch of the EDGE DX, we’re leading the world and, as a British PC manufacturer, this is an achievement that we are immensely proud of”.
