Have Asus been sniffing something too much?
We are all for innovation and unique ideas within the world of IT, and Asus have come up with a very unique idea but first let's get the most obvious question out of the way regarding this one- WTF? This must be deserving of the 'gimmick of the year' awards, surely?
Pushing the boundaries of laptop design, they have come up with the idea of giving some of their laptops a scent, along with fancy paint jobs. The laptops in question are from the F6 range and are available in four different aromas and designs, Floral Blossom, Musky Black, Morning Dew, and Aqua Ocean.
There is only one model within the F6 range at the moment, the F6V, with the following specifications:

We have had Dell incidents, mostly related to users jamming in USB stuff that the pc isn`t designed for and they shouldn`t be using. Not all pcs have a strong USB capability, particularly for new stuff. Normally the overloading of the power line for the usb rail. If ur lucky it`ll blow something, if ur not it`ll melt something.
Users aren`t always honest with u too, which is unfortunate - it`s not like we`re going to send them to the headmasters or something, and it`s not like we can single users out for damage - it just helps diagnosing things.
I have a tendancy to sleep with my phone on charge under my pillow (so I don't have to get out of bed to turn the alarm off), luckily its not a ***** iPhone! :p
