OCZ Summit SSDs Receive TRIM Support

Until now OCZ's Summit family of Solid State Drives have lacked TRIM support under Windows 7. TRIM is an important function as it helps alleviate the degradation of write speeds, which occurs over extended periods of time. While many dispute that the extent to which Solid State Drives suffer from this is minimal and is only evident under simulated conditions, TRIM is a function that most users would rather have.

The latest Firmware update (19C) can be found here. Be sure to read the instructions carefully and back up all data as this is a destructive firmware update.

We're very happy to see that OCZ are actively releasing updates to their existing product lineup to benefit both existing and future customers.
