NewerTech Unveils 1TB MINISTACK v3Relative newcomer to the mass storage market - NewerTech, has recently released its 1TB MINISTACK v3.
| The MINISTACK V3 sports four different forms of connectivity; There's FireWire 800/400 ports, 3x USB 2.0 ports and also an eSATA port, allowing for easy access whether you're surrounded by Apple Macs or PCs... Reason for the three USB ports is to allow users to be able to connect various peripherals directly it. These could be memory card readers, printers, scanners, digital cameras or iPods. Another cool feature? Why the capacity of course, a whopping 1 Terrabyte of it. Though there are six models to be sold with lower capacities (down to 160GB as a starting point. This will retail for $169.99). |

Yep yep yep yep, will try and get two if possible lol
Battery is a killer!
I'd like one but it is just a toy that I don't need! $200 equates to ~£100. I'd rather put that towards a new graphics card or holiday... Basically something else.
They are so cool though

I am thinking of getting one too... just to satisfy my geekiness ;)
I am looking to get one to drag around campus with me. I really like the little thing, and it looks to not be too slouchy on performance.
Edit: Looking at the article, looks like they are running KDE or at least using their icons. I got a good laugh out of his saying it looked like Windows XP lol. KDE seems like a weird choice though, I would have thought XFCE would have been a better choice in this case.

I really want one, but as most people I have no real use for it.
I guess around uni next year and that kind of thing. Cheap so it doesn't matter if I destroy it in a drunken rage.
Still it looks so nice :D

i wish the whole lid was filled by the screen, i dont like how it has a big boarder around it. Mind you, suppose it was done for cost and saving a tad battery life.
When I first looked I thought it was like a nintendo DS only with a keyboard :)
It looks pretty cool tho for the price.
The size of it looks quite good aswell.
Think I'll stick with a laptop for now tho :)
The screen seems really small aswell? there's a massive black border?

Ill be getting one. Wonder if you can overclock them...
Ill be getting one as well. Perfect for bringing places to use for messenger and such. And i believe that black border at the speakers.
Aye, I plan to get one too, is exactly what I've looked for in a laptop. It's small and does only what I need it to do.
