Vertex 1.4 Firmware

Version 1.4 of the firmware for OCZ's Vertex and Vertex EX solid state drives is now available, with updates for the Agility series of drives coming soon. The release fixes a well known issue that affects the drives over time, causing the drives to noticeably slow down the more they are used.

This firmware update solves that issue, with support for TRIM, keeping performance at peaks levels without any user maintenance thanks to the background optimizer. This runs during idle-time to restore the SSD to it's original performance levels. With the release of Windows 7 now just over a week away, it gives owners piece of mind and also makes the OCZ SSDs a future proof investment.

For more information on the firmware, how to flash and ofcourse, a download link, visit OCZ's forums here.

As spoke about with the Mod team you traded with Jeddy via the PM system rather than keeping details in the thread as per the rules.
You broke the rules by PM'ing Jeddy thus trying to circumvent our safegaurds.
