Intel Quietly Introduces 120GB SSD
"Intel has expanded its Postville X25-M series of drives with the addition of a new 120 GB SSD."

Intel has been a steady player in the SSD market for a while and is even considered a leader in some segments. The manufacturer has already announced plans of coming out with a next generation of solid state drives shortly. This does not mean the company cannot expand its current offerings; Intel has expanded its Postville X25-M series of drives with the addition of a new 120 GB SSD.
Part number SSDSA2MH120G2K5 is a member of Gen 2 of Intel’s Postville X25-M series and is based on the 34nm MLC NAND chip. The 2.5” drive carries a 3 Gbps SATA interface and supports TRIM command. For read and write speeds, it offers 250 MBps and 70 MBps specifications respectively.
While there is nothing extraordinary or noteworthy about the new launch (which might be the reason for the quiet release), it does add one more product to Intel’s kitty. Intel has priced the X25-M G2 120 GB SSD at €210, with no word on availability.

If your a first time user there's plenty of guys on here who can assist I'm sure.
Must make the leap myself sometime.
Welcome to the forums btw.
I was more concerned with making the proper purchase in my range/choices rather than the install, I got that part covered.
Thanks for the warm welcome! I will post updates when it arrives.
I'm sure it will be a huge difference to me since i've yet to experience one.

Reason I registered is I wanted expert opinions of the wonderful people here to help me with a purchase.
I'm looking to purchase either the Mushkin Enhanced Callisto Deluxe 60GB: Info here
OR the G.SKILL Phoenix Pro Series 60GB: Info here
Both are the same price, and claim the same read/write speeds... Which is why I'm torn of course.
Both are wonderful brands, but as we are all here to get the most " bang out of our buck ", I'm looking to do the same, and find opinions, or facts on which performs better in actual practice.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Or even a cheaper priced better solution. I'm simply looking for a OS drive, and possibly some other basic apps, which is why I'm looking at the 60GB.
Additionally I found : Corsair Nova 64GB For Less..
Or: Crucial C300 64 GBFor More..
I can swing the Crucial C300 if it's THAT big of a difference, though I'm not currently able to utilized the 6gb/s, only the 3gb/s
Note: I'm not using ANY SSD HD currently, so regardless it's an upgrade.
