Another Blu-Ray for the Xbox 360 rumor

Digitimes have said according to their sources that Lite-On have confirmed a Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360 games console. Once again we question how Microsoft will react to Lite-On's update.

Rumor has it that Lite-On will start shipping the drive to MS sometime in the second half of this year, if MS agree we may see some Blu-Ray Xboxs. It carrys on saying that the drive is for the next generation of Xbox 360, which is said to only consume 170watt instead of todays 210watt. We believe this might well be the die shrink MS have been going on about.

Only time will tell how Microsoft will react to this Blu-Ray drive, seeing as the technology is developed by Sony.
