Press Release
Windows Vista SP1 Released to Windows Update.
The much anticipated release of Vista SP1 has been announced today.  Customers can get Windows Vista SP1 in English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese by visiting Windows Update or the Microsoft Download Center.  Windows Vista SP1 will be available in the remaining 31 languages beginning in April.
For those of you eager to receive the benefits of Windows Vista SP1, you can now do so by simply running your auto updater.  The full SP is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the OS.

But for those of you happy to wait, Vista SP1 will start downloading to PCs automatically around mid-April time.
Microsoft recommends that if you are only installing the Service Pack on one system, that you use Windows Update which will result in a much smaller download as the standalone package contains all five currently available languages.
Have you been waiting for this or already taken the plunge and updated since it was available as beta?
