Wii to be released in September
"Wii to be released in September"
Published: 7th July 2006 | Source: N/A |
rumours are that the Wii is in full production already and that it's scratched in for an early October/late September release date.
This is much earlier than previously expected and would certainly put Sony's plans of PS3 domination on hold.
The Wii is something I personally cannot wait for and with pre-release prices said to be around £150 it's going to rock the console world...in my opinion : of course

yeah let's hope for the good. maybe intel want to reach 4ghz
Intel can easily reach 4GHz already, the only reason they didn't is because the performance boost wasn't significant and they wanted to focus on releasing their Dual Core proccys.
The only reason they didn't is cause they don't want to have to ship phase-change units with every cpu :rollingla

I think if I can get my CPU to 4.4GHz on air with a 3.2GHz they would have no problem
I think that if they did go to 4.0ghz with the current architecture they would find that a lot of the chips would get speed binned and therefore it wouldn't be a cost efficient line to run.
But its good news to hear that Intel are finally pulling their finger out - hopefully we can see some AMD killing processors from them soon.
If they manage that - and with Nvidia's SLI chipset, they'll be back in the runnings for serious gamers :D

Im game to run an intel next gen if they truely can make an amd stomping chip.
