Windows 7 Deal - 30 GBP for studentsOne last push from Microsoft to let users bag a cheap copy of their upcoming Windows 7 operating system. This time it's aimed at students, and it is probably the cheapest price yet, despite the numerous pre order copies a few weeks ago at £45. For users to be able to pre order their full copy of either Home Premium or Professional for just £30, they need to provide a valid .ac.uk email address at Microsoft's website. The promotion will allow users to purchase an upgrade license in either 32bit or 64bit flavours, to bring their computer back to life a

The deal starts on the 30th of September and ends on the 3rd of January, when they will revert back to their RRP of £79.99 and £179.99, meaning you have plenty of time to upgrade your system, and for this price there is no reason not to. Although, it is for students, who are likely to have bought a new computer for the new term, in which case they will receive a free Windows 7 upgrade regardless.

I'm expecting: Good performance, half-assed bundle and good packaging/aesthetics.
