Spore Has Gone Gold
After what can only be described as an eternity, it appears that the highly anticipated game Spore has gone gold. With numerous delays and too many impressive showings to keep track of, EA and Maxis have finally announced that Spore is completely finished. The game will be hitting Europe on September 5 before heading to Asia and North America on September 7.
“We are so excited to finally get Spore into the hands of fans and players,” said Lucy Bradshaw, executive producer of Spore at Maxis. “The Maxis studio has had an absolute blast creating Spore, but the fun is just beginning. The most engaging stories are truly the ones people create themselves, and we can’t wait to see how players not only craft and explore the Spore universe, but hear what stories they have to tell as a result.”
For those of you not familiar with the game, Spore gives you the freedom to create and guide unique personal creatures on epic journeys of discovery. If you want to waste vast amounts of time creating the weirdest creatures possible then you can download the Spore Creature Creator here
