250GB Slim PS3

Sony Playstation 3 Slim 250GBFollowing the news of the Xbox 360 Elite being updated to a 250GB model for the release of Modern Warfare 2 a few days ago, it seems Sony don't want to be left behind and have also updated their Playstation 3, despite giving it a makeover only a few weeks ago. This time, they also, have increased it's storage up to 250GB and will likely launch it along side the upcoming Uncharted 2.

Apprently it will go on sale for just £299, only £50 more than the current 120GB model. There are still alot of questions that need to be answered about this, hopefully more light will be shed on the situation and the exact bundle at the Tokyo Game Show next week. Fingers crossed!

OEM is OEM is OEM afaik. So long as you have a generic XP OEM CD it should work with the S/N that your customers will have stuck to their base units.

Failing that you could either:

1. Make them provide the original CD to you or buy a new XP license.
2. Install XP using one of your keys. After install remove this from registry (there's a proper way to do this). When they boot up the machine when they get home they have to enter the license key. Whether they go legit or get a key off the net is their call.

I think that would be the best bet jim.
I spose it lets you install it but not have to worry about the users key.

Hmm I'm not if it is the case as I have had my XP home OEM say that a dell serial key is invalid.

I shall have to try it again next time I get one in

Obviously it also depends on if the key is home/pro etc too. I could be wrong about OEM, but I've never run into issues and I can't see MS assigning each manufacturer their own set of keys :\

You may find that different service pack levels won't work.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet or not but This Article might be helpful if you use a normal OEM disk. You might have trouble activating the OEM sticker serials otherwise.
