Rage will look worst on the 360

After Thurdays QuakeCon keynote, John Carmack, reveals that the graphics of ID software's new game engine 'Rage' will not look as good on the Xbox 360 when compared to the PS3. According to him forcing the game onto two DVDs will require a fair amount of compression which will result in the loss of quality from graphic textures.

A third disc for Rage was also considered but Carmack explained that the royalty fee would end up being too high. He stresses that it is nothing to do with the Xbox 360's hardware other than the disc type used. More on the subject here.

This is the first case of Blu-Ray being better for console gaming as it shows video games are getting way to big for one DVD to cope. Discuss on our Forums.

The 9800GT is an 8800GT. The 9600GSO is an 8800GS. The 9500GT is a new card. The 9800GTX+ is a 9800GTX with 55nm chip. (The 9800GTX is a rehashed 8800GTS 512mb)

Oh the graphic card market is so boring these days. I really want to go back to the time when the 8 series came out.

That was impressive not this 'new' sh*t. :(
