Grand Theft Auto IV has been leaked a week before releaseWith the official release just less than a week away, hacked copies of Grand Theft Auto IV have appeared on the net.
The cracking group know as "Icon" have taken the credit for leaking the full Xbox 360, 6.32GB PAL version DVD image to Bittorrent which leads us to believe the source to be from the UK or Australia. Within the release comments, its recommended that you don't play the game while connected to Xbox Live, so as to avoid feeling the wrath of Microsoft and getting banned.
While this has happened, retailers everywhere have been told quite flatly not to dare break the release date of 29th April, even with pressure from gamers who are desperate to get their hands on the title. It seems that someone, somewhere wasn't paying much attention.
After doing a little search, many more versions than first reported have hit all the torrent sites, with an NTSC version showing up, which was released courtesy of "101"
The leak as led to a deluge of pictures and videos being posted all over the net. As fast as clips were appearing on YouTube, they were being taken down although it'll be impossible to keep it under control for very long.

Although this probably isn't likely to have a major bearing on sales of the game as most people will want to own the full glorious game legitimately, it's a headache they could probably do without, especially with EA lurking around trying to buy Take-Two Interactive as we reported here.
Well they do say all publicity is good publicity I'm not too sure Rockstar will agree.
What do you think about this? Still going to wait and buy a full legal copy?

Is it possible to mod the 360 to put any more/better fans in it? I get what the towel trick is doing but surely not going to be a permenant solution.
What`s the towel deal ? Got 2 fudged ones that crapped the day after their warranties went, both replacements.
wrap it 2 towels for 15 mins, which blocks all air coming out so it overheats.. then once 15 mins is over let it cool down for 15 then it should work
I don`t think so from a 360 mobo that`s already busted. That`d probably require some precision soldering first.
From new tho, I know the exterior fanage addons only prolong the impending disaster - pushing u further out of warranty date.

Yea, and when your in the middle of a game it will crap out on you again. Stupid idea tbh.
You wont be saying that when the warranty is over and you do that and cant get it replaced. Take care of it now and it will probably last longer. Get over it, / end.because its a proven quick fix,sh1t,get over it.

Hmm.. Didn't work for me first time, but did on the second attempt.
I know alot of you are saying "your just making it worse" I know. But it's a quick fix so I can play some GTA.. It comes out next tuesday i'll probably send it back next time it breaks.

instead of changing the fans just change them to 12v instead of the 5v they are at the moment
Wouldn't that make them even louder? If you're in the case anyway to mod them, why not change to a quieter and higher powered fan?
