OnLive is nearly online

I am sure many of you will know about OnLive, a piece of software that streams computer games to your tv or monitor without the need for any high end hardware. Some have been very skeptical about the performance of the service, and I suppose this is why OnLive is at a public beta stage.

So for some of you who signed up here (if you haven't, there is still time to sign up here), you may be contacted to start helping out soon. Only certain people will be picked, as when you sign up you provide some details about your internet connection and PC. If you pass round one, they first send you an invitational email asking you to "run a detailed Performance Test on your network connection and your computer configuration", and then if you fit in to one of their test groups, they will send you another email allowing you to install the OnLive plug-in into your browser.

From there on out it's nice and easy, all you have to do is test the available games and report any issues or bugs you find. For more information on OnLive, you can visit their website here.
