In-game Google Ads coming soon
According to a report by VentureBeat, Google are in the final stages of developing an in-game advertising solution which could see in-game characters delivering ads in cut screens.  The web-search giant is rumoured to have been working on the 'Ad-Sense for games' product for months.
The new technology is said to be applicable to console games, disk-based PC games, web-based PC games and mobile phone games. Google's 'Lively' virtual world is expected to be used as a test bed for this new service. Representatives from Google who attended the 2008 Casual Connect show refused to answer any questions relating to this new technology. The in-game advertising market has been estimated to be worth $971.3 million by 2011, so it's odds on Google are seeking a share.

Niceness. Just wish XSPC would come out with some proper red tubing rather than the orangey stuff.
