Football Manager 2009Football Manager 2009 Demo Released

As the release date of a title that so many football fans all over the world look forward to each year draws ever
nearer, the Football Manager 2009 demo was released yesterday just to tease us a little bit.  Also to give us an
idea of what to expect, but mainly to tease us.

The demo comes in two flavours, quite literally, with the Vanilla demo weighing in at 169.7MB's, and the Strawberry version quite a chunk more at 1004.6MB's.

The official site offers various ways in which you can download the demo, but for those wishing to take on the Strawberry version, I found the fastest way I could download it was using GameShadow at a steady 850KB's.  Obviously this will vary from user to user.

The vanilla version of the demo is English language only, and features quickstarts for the English and Scottish leagues, with no player photos or logos in order to reduce the size of the download.

The strawberry version of the demo includes all player pictures and logos, with quickstarts for the world's biggest leagues and features many in-game languages: English, Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish.  The quickstarts available are:  England, Scotland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia

The full game is on schedule (for once) to launch on the 14th November.  Until then, get playing the demo, and don't worry about having to start again because as usual, your demo saved games will be compatible with the full game.

Are you looking forward to donning your managerial rain mack and cracking out your chewing gum for the new FM season?  Discuss in our forum.

this place is awesome. I've been browsing through different discussions since discovering this site like 2 weeks ago and other than a few flame battles there is a lot of people who enjoy contributing.
