Square Eyes & Sore Thumbs?
According to a study by the NPD Group, a group labelled 'extreme gamers' are spending an average of 45 hours a week playing video games and have bought 24 titles in the last three months. If this report is to be believed, then the most hardcore of gamers are spending more than a working week participating in their 'hobby', and laying out some hard cash too!
The data used in the study was collected from more than 20,000 members of NPD’s online consumer panel and the type of gamer is broken up into seven segments, with the following percentiles:
- Extreme Gamers = 3%
- Avid PC Gamers = 9%
- Console Gamers = 17%
- Online PC Gamers = 14%
- Offline PC Gamers = 15%
- Young Heavy Gamers = 22%
- Secondary Gamers = 20%

With 1.6v that will toast your chip pretty quickly though. How bout OCs using reasonable voltages?
True. 1.45v is the max for 45nm so it would be nice to see some stable OC using 24/7 voltage. 5ghz is impressive though, I imagine 4.5ghz is do-able on 1.45v.
I might get one :D
Like to see some bench results in comparison to different steppers, on the same mobo/etc, just for kicks.
Bout time OC3D had a cpu in for hammer-testing ! hehe
I wouldnt care about pushing those speeds and voltages if i could pull a huge L20 tank outa my ass (ouch)
would that not be painful! :p
