Crytek Adds New Game To Crysis Saga

Together with gaming software giant Electronic Arts, Crytek has announced a new game in the Crysis saga: Crysis Warhead.  Taking the role of Sergeant Sykes, aka Psycho, players will traverse through a storyline parallel to that of the original game, with the more aggressive warrior taking on the other side of the island.  As per usual with a new game, a number of new, fully customizable weapons and new vehicles have been added to the player's arsenal.  A new level of multiplayer content will also be found in the new game, though no details about this have been given out yet.

We were very pleased with the reception of Crysis from both gamers and media after our launch last year,” said Cevat Yerli, CEO and President of Crytek. “That being said, one of the key principles of our studio is to always raise the bar. With Warhead, we are focusing on refining our storytelling and game performance, while also delivering more of the visually stunning graphics and immersive, free-roaming gameplay everyone loved in Crysis.

The best result of a partnership that we can ask for in the EA Partners program is when a world class independent studio like Crytek chooses to continue to work with us,” said David DeMartini, Vice President and Global General Manager, EA Partners. “Crysis was an amazing game and is going to be a blockbuster franchise. We could not be more excited to be working with Crytek to launch another hit with Crysis Warhead this year.

Warhead will be built upon a new, optimized version of the CryENGINE 2.  The game is set for a PC-exclusive release this fall.  Expect further details later this summer.

Excited for this new, alternate tale in the Crysis saga?

Is there any software or anything to reduce background noise and optimise the video for the main purpose - to record interviews (their speech not others!)

Its for a college project and some of our interviews are competing with background noise

thanks guys

Most soundcards come with some form of noise cancellation options for the MIC input that can be enabled via the software. Otherwise you could maybe take a look at Audacity - it might have a filter that can be applied to recordings.

When recording the interviews, try and get hold of (beg, steal, borrow?) a shotgun microphone that will help eliminate background noise, as it records whats in front of it (not whats left and right). Then use software like Audacity as Jim said.
