Crysis Warhead coming to PCs in September, with discounted pre-orders available now.

Electronic Arts and Crytek GmbH have announced that the latest installment in the fast-paced shoot-em-up Crysis universe, Crysis Warhead will begin shipping in September for Windows PCs—and discount pre-ordering is available now for those who want to get in on the action as soon as possible.

Crysis Warhead will go on sale in Europe September 12 and in North America on September 16; players who pre-order starting today can pick up the game for US$24.95 ($5 off the retail price), or get $10 both Crysis and Crysis Warhead purchased together. (Although note that Crysis Warhead does not require Crysis to play.)

"Fans of Crysis are going to enjoy more of the open-ended gameplay, cutting-edge visuals and huge, epic battles from the first game," said Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli in a statement, "while also finally finding out what kind of havoc Psycho was wreaking on the other side of the island."

Crysis Warhead also includes Crysis Wars, which adds TeamInstantaction to the InstantAction and PowerStruggle to the online gameplay modes from the original Crysis game. Crysis Warhead has also been optimised to run on a broader range of PCs - although we're sure pimping your rig still helps a lot. The game also includes 21 new maps.

Who's going to be pre-ordering?

Alright fellas, I had some spare time this weekend and have put together a list of direct links to some manufacturer's press pages within their websites. Not sure if anyone else has done it, but here it is anyway:

I will add to the list when I get some more time. Hope it helps? I have them saved in My Fav's so I can check the pages for any snippets without having to trawl through websites.
