Release of Vantage rumoured to be 28th of AprilAccording to the guys over at Expreview.com, the latest instalment of Futuremark's GFX benchmarks is set to be released within the next week. The date being thrown around is the 28th April.
Vantage was originally set to be released at the Game Developers Conference earlier this year but that never quite happened. Hopefully this time around it actually gets its release.
The new program from Futuremark is a Vista only application due to it being a DirectX 10 benchmark. Though this isn't likely to be welcomed by those still refusing to switch over to Vista from XP.
They also gave us a look at what the minimum and recommended system requirements to run the benchmarks will be.
Minimum requirement:
Intel Pentium D 3.2GHz
D3D10/SM4.0 GFX card, 256MB graphic memory
1GB System memory
2GB HDD
Windows Vista
Recommended requirement:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or better
D3D10/SM4.0 GFX card with 512MB or more.
2GB memory
2GB HDD
Windows Vista

As for pricing, nearly fortnight ago we reported that there will be a free trial version that will be limited, a Basic Edtion which can be used over and over for less than €5, as well as the Advanced and Professional Editions costing $19.95 and $495 respectively.
Looking forward to finally getting your hands on this latest version of the 3DMark series and unleashing hell on your graphics card?

Yea but i was thinking to the future. They will prolly buy out and merge to what i deem as the top 3. Namco and Konami are poor apart from in arcades/asia. Ubisoft is just meh - some good things.
Nothing really special on the market atm...at a loss on what to buy with my woolies 20% week for my ps3...no worthy games :(

Tekken is good to one extent...but its one game and its not really on the same scale as say...call of duty 4 (in this region anyway)
again metal gear solid is one game and the series dont really appeal to me much - dont like stealth and stuff.
probably me, and ill probably end up buying those two games but the rest of the games probably wont find a home on my shelf xD

From my point of view Grand Theft Auto has molded and advanced the game world so much. And if it was owned by EA.. we will be in for some crap games. :(
