"Microsoft looks to reveal a Zune mobile phone device at the MWC this month."

Rumors and questions about the possibility of a Zune phone began around the time Microsoft released the touch-operated Zune HD. These rumors resurfaced when a curious user poked around the latest Zune drivers and found three references to a phone device last week. Now it seems that these rumors will come into fruition.
Spanish tech site MuyComputer has reported that Microsoft will be unveiling the Zune phone at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona later this month. The device will apparently be powered by Nvidia's Tegra platform like the HD, and thus will likely bear features such as a 480x272 touchscreen, Wi-Fi connectivity, HD video/3D game capabilities, and a HDMI video out. Nvidia staff will also be on hand at the event to help present the device.
When Gizmodo questioned MuyComputer's editor, they were given the response that "the Zune Phone presentation at Barcelona's Mobile World Congress 2010 is 100% confirmed."
Microsoft is also set to present the new Windows Mobile 7 OS at the MWC, with this new device being among the first to make use of it. Windows Mobile 7 is supposed to be a complete revamp of the old CE code and has been plagued by delays. Microsoft hopes to have it finalized by the summer, with devices bearing the OS to be out by the end of the year.
