because oem keys work with oem windows and pro keys work with pro versions etc.
also once u get ur product key, ur product key is made from ur cd-key so the only cd-key ur could get from the product key would be the hacked one.

im running windows xp 64 right now and ive been on it for one day
now gotta install some games and software. it's currently running smooth got all drivers. haven't played on it yet. only thing is bothering me is this error that keeps getting on after some time and when i checked on help and support this is the only thing i find:

does the symbolic name means that it can't identify the cpu?

That's kinda what it looks like.
it's kinda stupid because in the system properties the cpu is clearly shown even in the device manager.
