We foresee some serious gaming action going off in Wales!
With some seriously cool hardware up for grabs, the 'New Years Hi7 Resolution' competition came to a close yesterday. With 6,081 verified entries for the competition, one lucky member was going to have a very large grin on their face. This competition had the largest value prize of any competition that OC3D has run. Not only could you win a seriously specced, state of the art PC, but a case that was in itself a piece of artwork!

Tension was high as our membership waited with baited breath for the lucky number to be drawn, and the very lucky member to win was Aled (AKA a1651), and the prize will be winging it's way to you in Wales really soon. Only time I've seen those errors is with o/c. To get it without one is dire indeed. Which brand of memory and mobo are they out of curiosity?
If you havent o/c anything, then thats a downer :( Come on you can tell us, you tried injecting 8 kilo watts into them, didnt you, huh huh :D

and lol @ comment :D.
usually the first 12 months you just return them to the place of purchase.
after that, i just go straight to the manufacturers most of the time.
i've recently had to replace a couple of kits of the corsair xms stuff myself. a 2x1gb 6400 kit and a 2x2gb 6400 kit.
i just called scan, sent em in and approx a week later had the replacements up n running

i know it's not from the shop you purchased, but:

:), some good news there then, but I got to send at my own expense lol :P, not like I mind or that, was just a bit snotty the way they sent the Email. The item should be 100% faulty, or the store charges hardware checking fee's and delivery.
Will be checking them each stick at a time, there shouldn't be 1 error should there?
Make sure you test with the advertised clock speeds, timmings and voltages. Dont leave anything on auto unless its not specified by the maker.
Anywhere I can find the timings? The BIOS reported it running @ auto, which is correct seeing as I haven't altered it. Anyone care to post a link to a site with information?:D.
Thank you.

So 4-4-4-12, from left to right;
CAS latency, tRCD(RAS to CAS delay), tRP(RAS precharge), tRAS(Active to Precharge delay).
If there is a CMD or 1T or 2T. This is referancing the command rate.
You already know the timings for the memory;

I know that lol, just thought since it was default that someone said it should be different. Have tried, 1 stick is brokdeded:(. Sending back tomorrow.

I was pretty gutted when I started getting many errors, I'm turning off this computer for good now, hoping to get some new RAM and new PSU :).
Do I have my rights for new RAM with RMA considering I did naff all to the RAM.
