Light Peak To Begin Production In 2010

Last month, Intel showcased something very interesting, an optical cable interface for PCs, called Light Peak. This promised 10Gb/s transfer rates, or double that of USB 3.0. The potential for such an interface is very broad, it could consolidate the plethora of modern interface standards, including USB, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and Ethernet. Apart from telling us that devices featuring Light Peak would be ready to ship next year, Intel didn't really give reveal much else.Most Recent Comments

No problem. I had a pile of coursework (3-4 different types of coursework) come load on to me on Monday and I had started wondering on whether I would be able to write a review up in time.

I use my pc basically all day for CAD and Illustrator work, and the odd bit of gaming..
I currently just use the top of my wooden desk as my mouse mat :p
