No more attaching photos, for now.
Microsoft have suspended the ability to add photos into the body of an email in Hotmail due to secuirty concerns. Users can still add photos as attachments, but not in the same way they could before. The feature has been missing since late July, although Microsoft only publicly announced this a few days ago.
A Windows Live Team blog said that "...During a recent review, we identified an incompatibility with Internet Explorer that caused a security flaw with photo uploads, and we made the decision to temporarily remove the feature. The Hotmail team takes security very seriously and we expect to bring back the photo upload feature by the end of September. In the meantime, you can still add pictures as attachments to your Hotmail messages, by clicking Attach, and then File, and then selecting the picture you want to include."
Expected back by the end of September, the feature was supposedly pulled due to a faulty ActiveX control, Microsoft is likely to address the issue with an Internet Explorer update.
