Gigabyte anounces Open Overclocking Championship - GO OC 2008

Let the games commence!
Gigabyte have just announced their forthcoming Open Overclocking Championship, GO OC 2008, to be held at Taipan in Taiwan, on Thursday, September 25th, 2008. with teams attending from over 23 different countries, the event promises to be one of the largest in the calender to date. Regional qualifying events are currently taking place for places on the Championship, and there are two competition events being held:
Battle for the Best P45 OC
Hardware is provided by Gigabyte and comprises of:
- Intel Core 2 Quad QX 9550 CPU
- Gigabyte EP45-T Extreme mobo
- 2x Gigabyte HD4870 in Crossfire
- Corsair DDR3 2,133Mhz memory
- WD Veloci Raptor 300GB HD
- Gigabyte 1,200w PSU
- Gigabyte LCD, Keyboard & Mouse
- Everest
- Super Pi Mod 1.5
- 3DMark2001 (v3.3.0)
- 3DMark2006 (v1.1.0 Professional)
Freestyle Contest
In this competition, contestants can use any Intel CPU, with any Gigabyte motherboard and graphics card. They must supply details of hardware they are going to be using prior to the event. The aim of this competition is to see who can break the most world records, as recorded on hwbot.
With a prize ante of $6000 and hardware being given, we are sure the competition will be hard fought from the elite overclockers who will be participating. As for wall mounting, I managed to find a nice one for a fiver in my local cheapy shop, sturdy as hell too, and if you need to move it, its only 2 screwholes.
Ive never looked back, nice for cables n shizzle too. Easily moved, looks funky and great for when your trying to hide things behind the monitor itself , lmfao
Yeah they are great when wall mounted...I'm actually watching some small capacity mounts atm on Ebay.
