Samsung has recently announced that they will be licensing their top-of-the-line flash memory, OneNANDTM, to STMicroelectronics in order to meet the growing demand of different applications.

OneNAND provides an impressive sustained read speed of 108MB/s and write speed of 10MB/s, approximately 4 and 46 times respectively faster than current conventional flash memory. This allows significant performance with boot-times and application launch-times.

STMicroelectronics is set to begin their support of Samsung early 2007.
