AM2 Launch Date Moved Up
"AM2 Launch Date Moved Up"
Published: 19th April 2006 | Source: N/A |
The official word has been given by several Taiwanese motherboard and chipset manufacturers: AMD's Socket AM2 launch date has been moved up by a week to May 23rd. Official reasoning is that motherboards and processors are already finished up; however, it seems that AMD also wished to get the "one-up" on Intel's Conroe by releasing as quick as possible. Socket AM2 had originally been set to launch at Computex 2006 on June 6th. Article

Then try to set up defaults voltages and see if the pb persist.

He is right. You can crash out windows programs due to any multitude of hardware issues
Maybe it's just that he knows and you don't??
@Ham: you still getting these issues?

Wow i forgot about this thread. The issue is still on going but its now very rare, i havn't done anything.
I have a nasty feeling that my ram may be very, very slowly dying on me.
How possible is it that my ram is getting too hot? Could this be a problem?
My kingston is only value ram and oced as it is it gets quite hot. The extractor fan is right above it so its never melted, but would it be worth investing in some good heatspreaders?

I'm flattered, but i'm afraid i don't swing that way ;)
Yep investing in some good heatspreaders could be a good idea (there are not lost for future), it could be a ram pb but i persist to think its certainly a software pb... but of course if you overclock everything in your computer for win some few performance...
I prefer to buy a good stuff and don't overclock anything :) , Overclocking reduce the life of your peripherals/MB/Processors ! its a choice!
Think to check your event viewer when pb happen.

But if you overclock everything to win some few performance keep in mind you reduce the life of your peripherals/MB/processors, its a choice ! and a lot of randoms pb can happen.
Think to check event viewer logs when pb happen.
XMS im not really crazy about you (wrong word for i want to said) and i always respect administrators cause im one of them ;)

Thats total crap
I've crashed when overclocking too much/bad memory/bad HDD and many other hardware related issues. It's the nature of the beast
