R700 supports DirectX 10.1
| We found out that the R700 multi core marchitecture chip will support the next generation DirectX that some call DirectX 10.1. There are some rumours that Microsoft might rename it DirectX 11, but we believe that it will stick with DirectX 10.something for now. Last week we told you that ATI is getting really big on tessellation and you can read the original piece here. We believe that tessellation will finally become a part of DirectX in the 10.1 version and the developers will have the chance to create big terrains with a few polygons. The chip will tessellate it, in up to 15 segments per polygon. |
According to the source it could be late 2008 before we see the feature in games.

I keep getting this too mate, Stanford need to sort out their servers

I have been folding now for like the last 2 weeks ~.
I was originally folding on Both Cores, with two instances of the Console version of the app.
Recently, I can only folding on the First Console version, (Core 1).
When I run the other instance, it won't find any work. Weird thing is... when the first console version finishes a WU, it gets more work from F@H's server, so this cancels out that there's no work.
Can anyone shed any light on the situation?
Thanks in Advance,
Jake
