PowerColor Announces PCS HD47304730

PowerColor don’t like to hang about when graphics cards are involved. Today they announced the latest addition to the 4700 series, the PowerColor PCS HD4730. The card is based on GDDR5 memory, has 640 stream processors and is clocked at 700MHz core and 900MHz memory.

The PowerColor PCS HD4730 is Crossfire compatible with full DX10.1 support. It also offers Unified Video Decoder 2 and built-in HDMI with 7.1 surround audio. To keep the card cool and quiet PowerColor have opted to use a cooling solution from Arctic Cooling, with automatic fan speed control to strike the perfect balance between cooling performance and low noise.

“PCS HD4730 is created to be the new performance and price leader,” said Ted Chen, CEO of TUL Corporation. “If you have a limited budget but would like to have a powerful upgrade to take all games to the extreme, the PCS HD4730 is the best choice for you.”

The PCS HD4730 certainly does appear to represent great value for money priced at US$79.99. Availability should begin on June 8th.
