Nvidia to launch 9400/9500 in June

Nvidia plan to fully introduce the 9 series to the market by releasing the 9400/9500 in June. Samples of these chips are available to Nvidia's custormers already but will not be on sale till June. Reason being Nvidia have a lot of 8400s to shift before more of the low-mid 9 series comes out. When we say a lot of 8400s we mean a lot of them, estimate of about 2 million chips left to sell.

Nvidia are very unlikely to sell them all by June as there are way too many graphic cards in the sub £50 section of the market thus giving people to much choice. You can also get a 8600 for £10 more anyway. On the other hand 8500s are said to be selling pretty fast.

Read the specs the other day :)
The game looks like it might be good, the min specs seem low but watching a video of the developers it seems they have made it really scalable as they wanted as many people to be able to play it as possible without the need to upgrade :)

they do that to 'amd' processors on boxes due to the whole athlon stage.. (or whenever it started) when they were running 1800mhz and could outperform a 2200mhz intel hence you could get an AMD 2200+ (1.8 iirc) and meh.
they still do it, which is why they put all the different GHz on boxes now, some just put 4800+ or 5000+, depends i guess.

Looking at the videos from the developers, the pc version will be different than the xbox360 version.

The interface is totally different
The control system is different and is aimed at keyboard and mouse use
The graphics are different
The vehicle movement is improved (the dev made a big point about this)
It will include "Bring Down the Sky" (a paid for DLC on xbox360)

Optimized for the PC, Mass Effect for the PC incorporates the following features:

* Optimized controls designed specifically for the PC.
* High resolution visuals – Mass Effect for the PC features highly detailed textures, characters and environments.
* Fully customizable controls – PC gamers can re-map the control scheme any way they like.
* Run & Gun Control – Players can assign biotic powers or skills to ‘hot keys’ allowing them to play Mass Effect with a heavier focus on action.
* New decryption mini-game.
* New inventory screen GUI and functionality – The enhanced inventory system makes it easier for players to equip and modify their weapons and armor.
