Nvidia have finalised a deal that means they buy out the PhysX firm

SANTA CLARA, CA — FEBRUARY 13, 2008 — NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA), the world leader in visual computing technologies and the inventor of the GPU, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of AGEIA Technologies, Inc., the industry leader in gaming physics technology. AGEIA's PhysX® software is widely adopted with more than 140 PhysX-based games shipping or in development on Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, and gaming PCs. AGEIA physics software is pervasive with over 10,000 registered and active users of the PhysX SDK.
A not-unforeseen acquisition but one that may shake up the market. Nvidia will no doubt be looking to use their hardware with PhysX and utilising the Ageai API to leverage PhysX into the big games on the market.
We've seen a fair amount of PhysX and love the concept (with some more coverage coming soon), but do you think PhysX will benefit from this? Personally I can't see how it won't

Does everybody still want to be on the news team? We have barely had any news for a couple of weeks and although I am trying to get some up I really need to get down to some reviewing as I have a huge list of reviews to get through and no time to do them.

I appreciate people are busy but if you really are too busy to do proper news team duties then we can remove you from the team, no hassle and you won't get "blamed" or anything silly like that, it's just life.

We either need to get a commitment from you guys or we will have to seriously think about where we go from here

I'm not annoyed or ed off, just we have a site to run and it looks bad with no news up on the front page for days on end.

Thanks for reading and please let me know either way

I think recently news has been better, because I have stepped it up.
But it would be nice for a helping hand once in a while from the rest of the newsie guys.

Yeah you're efforts are most certainly appreciated mate. It does seem that the rest of the news team have been abducted by aliens tho :(

If anybody knows a friend or whatever that would like to be a member of the news team, then please get them to come forward.
