The HD Ready 1080p plasma family includes an in-built Bluetooth receiver which enables users to beam images and content via portable devices such as cameras and mobile phones direct to the TV for display. The Bluetooth connection also means that viewers can synch-up Bluetooth headphones to the set without any unsightly wires getting in the way, giving consumers the freedom to move around while watching their favourite programmes at maximum volume.
In addition to the extended connectivity, the PG7000 offers the ultimate viewing experience. The TV boasts an industry-leading 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and fluid motion technology, which provides a refresh rate exceeding 600Hz. It also houses the LG Dual XD Engine, an image processing system that optimises picture quality for any type of content imaginable. Special AV Modes further enhance the viewing experience, allowing users to choose among Movie, Video game and Sports modes with the press of a button on the remote control.
The premium technology is complemented by the set’s exquisite design. The new plasma owes its striking looks to LG’s advanced single-layer design, creating a seamless, frameless look. It also features LG’s invisible speaker system, which creates a sleek and flawless design, specially tuned by renowned audio expert, Mr. Mark Levinson, and provides viewers with amazingly crisp, rich sound quality, by using the entire TV as a sounding board.
“Our customers told us that the way a TV looks is just as important as how it functions. So, our goal with this TV was not only to offer unmatched video and audio quality, but also to create a set that blends seamlessly with home décor while it entertains,” said George Mead, marketing manager for digital display at LG Electronics. “Through advanced technology and design we were able to make this goal a reality, creating a TV unlike any other.”
The PG7000 will be available in the UK from September.
