Gears of War: Ultimate Edition PC System Requirements

 

The PC system requirements for Gear of War ultimate Edition have been announced, revealing that the game will be Windows 10 and DirectX 12 exclusive. These requirements have been made available on the Windows 10 store, hinting that the game may not be coming to any other PC storefronts. 

Right now the PC version of Gears of War Ultimate Edition is expected to be a good one, with the game having been confirmed to be using DirectX 12, support DX12 Asynchronous compute for higher performance and a built in benchmarking utility.

    

The game will require 8GB of system memory minimum and requires a minimum of a GTX 650Ti or an R7 260X with 2GB of VRAM. Thankfully the developers have also provided us with a set of recommended specifications for 4K and 1080p separately, giving us a clear indication of what kind of hardware we are expected to have to run the game. 

Please note the VRAM requirements for 4K, which is 6GB+, meaning that AMD’s R9 Fury and Nano series GPUs will be unable to max out the title at 4K, since they all have only 4GB of VRAM.

• Memory: 8 GB RAM (2 GB VRAM)
• Graphics: Geforce GTX 650 Ti or Radeon R7 260x
• Hard Drive: 60 GB available space
• DirectX 12

 

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR 1080P

• OS: 64 bit Windows 10 
• Processor: Intel Core i5 @3.5GHz+ or AMD FX 8-core
• Memory: 16 GB RAM (4 GB VRAM)
• Graphics: GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon R9 290X
• Hard Drive: 60 GB available space
• DirectX 12

 

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR 4K

• OS: 64 bit Windows 10
• Processor: Intel Core i7 @ 4Ghz or AMD FX 8-core
• Memory: 16 GB RAM (6+ GB VRAM)
• Graphics: Geforce GTX 980 Ti or Radeon R9 390X
• Hard Drive: SSD + 60 GB available space
• DirectX 12
