Evga Denies AMD's Claim

AMD apparently mentioned that major Nvidia partner Evga came to them with a query about a possible partnership. Wanting to keep their pool of partners small, AMD said no. Evga got wind of this article and not surprisingly denied this claim.

"We have absolutely no plans at this time to make ATI products," EVGA Co-Founder and Managing Director GmbH, Hans-Wolfram Tismer firmly stated, continued by "EVGA has a very strong link to Nvidia"

Tismer went on to say that this was simply a publicity stunt and that the idea of turning down such a major player in the graphics card field was simply "ludicrous".

Was AMD trying to snag more of their recently gained spotlight or is Evga simply trying to cover their back?
