Official Press Release

ASUS recently announced the release of the first 19"W+ widescreen monitor, the VW198. What does the plus stand for you ask? Simple: 1680x1050 resolution. This 36% upgrade in resolution yields a 15% shorter pixel pitch, providing finer image quality than normal 19" widescreens.

The VW198 features
wide viewing angles, a 5ms response time, 300 nits brightness, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, built-in stereo speakers, and ASUS's Splendid Video Intelligence Technology.

ASUS has also announced their
VW202T 20" and VW222U 22" widescreen displays. Both screens feature HDCP support and a 2000:1 contrast ratio, while the VW222U also utilizes ASUS's Trace Free Technology with the fastest 2ms response time.
