AMD Moving Towards Multi-GPU Cards
AMD announced at the recent Analyst Day conference that they will be utilizing multi-GPU graphics cards in order to make up their high-end lines.
According to card manufacturers, they are already hard at work, with the first card to be a HD 3870 X2 coming next month at a price range of $299-349. This card will be utilizing the PEX6347 PCI Express bridge chip to allow the two GPUs to work together.
AMD has plans to integrate their own bridge chip onto the board starting with the next-gen R700 series so that they won't have to rely on third-party chips.
Are multi-GPU graphics cards the way of the future? AMD seems to think so.

So silent in here why? :D
Jim asked us for some updates so i guess i will be the first to break the silence.
I have been working arround with board now and i must say its not so easy. As Nosferatu wrote the board has a very stupid C1 "bug". For me it was almost imposible to boot with two RAM sticks.
Furthermore SetFSB, Clockgen and Memset wont work on this board :S So i needed to stay with Abits own uGuru.
My results will be posted tomorrow. Here you have some pics of the board

Comeon guys should i really be the first again? :nono:
Hmmm okay... :p
I have been working and working on this board. It has a serious coldboot problem so it took me very long time just to get some results. But after many problems i got them.
Hardware:

You should all have your boards by now and be raring to go.
You now officially have until the 7th January to get going on overclocking and racking up some awesome PI times!
You need:
* A screenshot of the super PI time
* A CPU-z shot
* A CPU-z validation link
* A Super PI validation code using the SPI u have the screenshot of
* A shot of the bench rig you are using
Please only use only current valid versions of SPI.
Any questions, concerns or comments, post in the discussion thread
