It appears that AMD/ATI might be looking at a 65nm process for their hugely anticipated R600 GPU. Poor yield results and leakage problems with the current 80nm version have been blamed for the change in size. Further, according to the source senior officials from AMD informed their partners that the AMD-ATi Tech Day for R600 will be held 16 days from now. R600 is expected to be formally announced six weeks after that date in early May.
