Sony's CELL Processor, which is used in the Playstation 3, is getting an update according to the source, shrinking it down to a 65nm chip, operating at 6GHz at 1.3v. The new update would allow for better performance, and a cooler running system, though producing a "better" Playstation 3 could upset some current owners, and cause a bit of confusion.

"The 65nm CELL Broadband Engine design features a dual power supply, which enhances SRAM stability and performance using an elevated array-specific power supply, while reducing the logic power consumption. Hardware measurements demonstrate low-voltage operation and reduced scatter of the minimum operating voltage." (Spong.com, 2007)

Cyberlink PowerDVD is good software, been using it for ages for DVD playback and it's outstanding.

I downloaded VLC just now.

Seems pretty cool apart from the fact that some of my movies look pretty funky for the first 30seconds or so

I like the simplistic right click for options, otherwise just screenplay and enjoy. + Open Source ftw tbh.

I've used PowerDVD from day 1 (since fitting a DVD drive in my Penti III rig)

Got WinDVD free with my ASUS board, but didn't like it, so went back to PowerDVD.
