Phenom Delayed?
"According to sources from motherboard manufacturers, AMD may be delaying their Phenom line of processors until 2008"
Published: 2nd July 2007 | Source: DigiTimes |
Originally planned to be released sometime in November of this year, AMD's Phenom processors look to be having their release date pushed back to Quarter 1 of next year.
| AMD intends to modify its process technology to increase the yield rate and frequencies of Phenom processors in order to improve the competitiveness of the CPUs against Intel's Penryn family, said the sources. AMD has already notified several motherboard makers that Phenom will now begin test-production in November or December, and will launch in first quarter of 2008, noted the sources. |
A possibly unforeseen consequence for AMD from this delay is that motherboard manufacturers have made plans to decrease shipments of AM2+ boards and increase those of the Intel platform.

Dell monitors use high-quality Samsung panels, although any 22" monitors are TN (not keen on them). Nick what panel is the 21" one?

I'm not quite sure what panel this monitor has, but I knew prior to purchase that all 22" panels were TN too, so I figured I can spare .4" and take a chance and see if I get something different. None of the major LCD sites (tft central UK or widescreen gaming forums) have any information on it yet, though.
You ditched your c2d? A mATX mobo with c2d would have fitted in there.
Nice little set up you got therethough, any 'internal' shots? :D

The Li was nice, quiet, fast, but this things pretty sweet. These new Brisbanes kick butt too.
